They are also required in the pharmaceutical industries for production management and quality assurance of various pharmaceutical formulations. They are having a wide opportunity in the pharmaceutical marketing and research. Clinical research is another field with a very high job potential where pharmacy graduates are required.
The Drug Testing Laboratory, established under the Government of Kerala, plays a crucial role in safeguarding public health by ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of drugs and pharmaceuticals.It is fully equipped with advanced testing facilities and expert staff dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in drug testing and analysis.Through rigorous quality control and regulatory compliance measures, we ensure that drugs available to public meet the necessary standards.
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (DPS) at Cheruvandoor is part of the Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS), which is established by the Government of Kerala to offer professional and advanced education in various disciplines in 2017. Previously owned by Mahatma Gandhi University and affiliated under KUHS.
From 2017 the institution is run by Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS), a Society established by Government of Kerala. This is one of the pioneer self financing institutions in the state of Kerala offering BPharm course affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences.
About SME The School of Medical Education, a self financing college, previously run directly by Mahatma Gandhi University till 2016, came into existence in 1993 with an aim of providing trained human resources in the area of allied medical and health sciences. Now this institution is under the control of Centre for Professional and Advanced Studies (CPAS), a Society established by Government of Kerala.
School of Medical Education is offering B.Pharm with an intake of 60 each.M.Pharm Pharmacology (15 seats) is conducted at Cheruvandoor campus Ettumannor Kottayam. Ph.D in pharmaceutical science is also available in this centre.
